Douglas Wilson
Douglas is a dedicated public servant, consultant and founder of Alexander Wilson Consulting LLC.
Douglas, the founder and principal of political and public affairs consulting firm Alexander Wilson Consulting LLC, has advocated and organized in the faith-based, nonprofit, civic engagement and mobilization arenas for more than 16 years. He’s a published author and seasoned media contributor, currently serving as a senior adviser with prominent bipartisan government affairs firm, the Peter Damon Group.
Douglas also serves as the chair of the board for the New Rural Project, an organization that works with young and minority citizens in rural communities to amplify their voices in the political process.
Prior to becoming a full-time consultant, Douglas’ experience revolved around politics. During the South Carolina Democratic primary, Douglas served as regional field director for President Barack Obama, and he later became state director of constituency outreach during the 2008 general election.
Douglas earned his bachelor’s degree in physiology from the University of South Carolina Columbia and his master’s degree in health administration from Pfeiffer University at Charlotte.
He is also a trainer for the Congressional Black Caucus Political Education and Leadership Institute’s Political Development Leadership Program (PDLP).
