Pam Stevenson is a retired Air Force Colonel & Judge Advocate General, Kentucky state Representative, and current candidate for Attorney General

Colonel Pam Stevenson is a retired Air Force Colonel, Judge Advocate General, Kentucky Representative, and current candidate for Kentucky Attorney General. Pam grew up in the Oak Grove Missionary Baptist Church, founded by her grandfather. Her time at Grove Missionary taught her the values of faith, family and service. These lessons have guided her incredible 39-year career.

After graduating from Indiana University Bloomington with a bachelor degree in business, she earned her Juris Doctor from Indiana University Maurer School of Law. Pam then joined the U.S. Air Force and served for 27 years as a Judge Advocate General, where she prosecuted crimes, defended the innocent, represented servicemembers and the Air Force in civil matters, and taught human rights and justice.

In 2015, she founded the Stevenson Law Center, which provides free legal services to veterans and seniors. She was also an adjunct professor at the University of Louisville Brandeis School of Law. Following her retirement from the Air Force, Stevenson was elected to the Kentucky House of Representatives in 2020, replacing Charles Booker. In March 2023, Stevenson was ordained as a minister and began serving as Associate Pastor at Oak Grove Missionary Baptist Church, in Louisville.

In November 2022, Stevenson announced her candidacy for Attorney General of Kentucky in 2023, becoming the first African-American woman to be nominated for the office in the state.
