Terry M. Brown Jr.
Terry is a lifelong North Carolinian, representing Southwest Mecklenburg County in the North Carolina State House of Representatives.
Terry represents District 92 in the North Carolina House of Representatives, with a focus on creating a better future for North Carolinians by fighting and advocating for mental health, investing in small businesses and providing opportunities for economic growth.
The second-term Democrat has also made public school improvements, Medicaid expansion, an increased minimum wage and expanded access to broadband services key tenets of his platform.
Growing up the son of two public school educators, Terry absorbed the values of service, education and community from the very beginning. He watched as his parents sacrificed to provide their students the opportunities to succeed.
Terry has experienced all that the Tar Heel State has to offer: from being born and raised in Fayetteville, to working as a field organizer in the dusty back roads of Halifax County, to honing his skills as an advocate in Raleigh before settling in Charlotte to start a family and work as an attorney and public servant.
